Mr. Khan has become the first British-Bangladeshi to win this award.
The ceremony was organised jointly by the Law Society, The Bar Council and ILEX.
Mr Khan was chosen for this prestigious award by the honorable judges for his significant contribution in the field of Domestic Violence and Immigration Rules in a recent landmark case Ms Rume Begum vs. The Secretary of State for the Home Department.
In this case, the Appellant, a Bangladeshi girl, entered in the UK as a spouse of her British husband. Unfortunately just within three weeks from the date of her entrance in the UK, she was subjected to abuse and violence by her husband. She was also subjected to sexual abuse.
