Spicy tomato onion gravy can easily prepare at home if you have short of time. Masala beans are nutritious health diet and goes well with steamed rice or roti/naan.
- Prep Time 10 mints
- Cook Time 30 mints
- Serves 2-3
Ingredients:
- Red kidney beans 2 cups (soaked overnight)
- Onion 2 (Finely cut)
- Bay leaves 2
- Ginger/garlic 1 tsp (Chopped)
- Cumin powder 1 tsp
- Red chili power 2 tsp
- Tomatoes 2 (Chopped)
- Hot spices powder 1 tsp
- Coriander powder 2 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil 2 tsp
- Fresh coriander for garnishing
Cooking Directions
- Boil beans in 4 cups; add salt, set aside,
- Heat oil in a pot; add cumin, bay leaves, asafetida and ginger/garlic powder/paste and fry till golden.
- Add onions and fry
- Add turmeric, red chilies, coriander, tomatoes and fry till oil separates.
- Add beans along with water and salt and cook till water dries.
- Sprinkle hot spices on beans and keep on slow heat.
- Serve delicious masala beans garnished with coriander.
