London (Special report) -  A candidate of Pakistani origin James Shera made a record by winning councillor’s election for the eighth time running from Benn Ward in Rubgy Council elections.

James Shera who is the leader of Labour group in the council won the election for the first time in 1981.

He has the honour to serve as Mayor in 1988. In view of his selfless services to the people nobody has been able to defeat him in the council’s elections as yet.
